When you love what you do, your passion shows. When you visit Elgin dentist, Dr. Sirin’s office, you will note the signs of his enthusiasm for dentistry in everything he does. Not only does he continually improve his extensive dental knowledge through 30-50 hours of continuing education every year, but he also studies the latest in dental materials and technologies to ensure you are receiving the highest level of care possible. A few of the latest technologies our office utilizes include E4D same day crowns (a step above CEREC), laser tissue recontouring, digital x-rays and intra-oral cameras.
Laser Tissue Recontouring
The use of a soft-tissue diode laser can be beneficial in both cosmetic and restorative procedures. If you are unhappy with your smile because too much of your gums show, Dr. Sirin can correct it for you in a single visit. Aside from aesthetic reasons, laser tissue recontouring can be necessary when you have decay that extends below your gum line and, in some cases, when a tooth is prepared for a crown.
Older methods for removing excess gum tissue involve using a scalpel, but Dr. Sirin has found that using the laser provides better results and lessens healing time. The laser vaporizes specifically targeted tissue and seals the remaining tissue instantly, virtually eliminating bleeding and decreasing the risk of infection. Because the area is numbed, you will not notice any discomfort during the procedure. Our staff will give you instructions before you leave on how to handle home care during the brief healing process.
We believe it’s important for you to know why a specific procedure is necessary and to have a complete understanding of your oral health. This is why our staff uses intra-oral cameras to capture images of areas of your mouth you might not otherwise be able to see. Intra-oral photography not only allows you to view a damaged tooth or gum tissue but it also allows us to see things we couldn’t otherwise see and can aid in dental insurance billing.
Same Day Crowns
It’s not necessary for a crown to be a lengthy process with multiple appointments. Dr. Sirin uses E4D technology (a step above the frequently advertised CEREC crowns) to restore your tooth in one visit.
